Belgrave Lodge Nursing Home
Due to the upcoming retirement of our current manager we are looking for a motivated and skilled Nursing Home Manager to lead our team. Belgrave Lodge is a small private nursing home with room for 28 residents that is family owned and operated. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a care home with a friendly family atmosphere that has been providing care within the Corstorphine area for over 35 years.
The Role
As the Nursing Home Manager you will set the standard for excellence, oversee daily operations, and inspire your team to deliver the very best in person-centred care. The position is normally Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.
Key responsibilities:
* Maintain a safe, healthy, and homely setting where residents and the team feel valued and happy.
* Set and uphold high standards in all areas, adhering to care inspectorate guidelines, consistently projecting a professional and compassionate approach.
* Manage the home professionally, efficiently and effectively.
* Lead, and motivate the team, maintaining positive relationships and culture.
* Maintaining positive relationships with the team, residents, families, and external agencies.
Essential Candidate Requirements
* Management experience within a nursing home environment.
* Appropriate professional management qualifications and / or valid NMC pin.
* Approachable, compassionate, confident and clear communicator.
* Experience working with the elderly and a sound understanding of dementia.
* Ability to maintain a positive, flexible and responsive approach to the needs of the home at all times.
* Up to date knowledge of nursing home regulations and requirements.
Desirable Candidate Requirements
* Knowledge and experience of the private sector is helpful but not essential.
* Valid driving licence
