An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our team at Aberdeen Dental Hospital and Institute of Dentistry as a Senior Dental Nurse in Oral Surgery.
The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising and coordinating clinical activities, supporting the management team, and leading the dental nursing team within the Oral Surgery department. They will also support the University of Aberdeen BDS dental students.
Applicants must possess a registerable qualification such as NEBDN National Certificate, SVQ & PDA Dental Nursing Level 3 or equivalent, and an IV Sedation qualification. Relevant clinical experience in oral surgery, comprehensive knowledge of various treatments and techniques, and full GDC registration with up-to-date CPD are required.
We are considering all contract types, including full-time and part-time, with clinic hours from Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 4:30 pm. Salaries are paid at Band 5.
Essential skills include excellent interpersonal, organizational, leadership, and IT skills, along with a forward-thinking attitude and the ability to respond quickly to patient needs.
