About the role
As a Fire & Security Design Engineer, you will take responsibility for delivering high-quality, project-specific designs across Fire Detection and Alarm Systems, PA/VA, Disabled Refuge Systems, Access Control, CCTV, and Intruder Alarms. You will manage design processes from concept through to completion, liaising with internal stakeholders and clients to ensure that all solutions meet the highest safety and performance standards. This hybrid role typically involves 1-2 days per week in the office, with occasional site visits as projects progress. (Office locations in Reading, Essex, London, Slough, Portsmouth, Southampton, Milton Keynes, Oxfordshire and Luton).
What we are looking for:
* Proven experience in Fire and Security system design.
* Solid understanding of relevant standards and regulations.
* Strong technical documentation and Bill of Materials (BOM) preparation skills.
* Effective communication and relationship-building abilities.
* Familiarity with contract administration processes (TQs, RFIs, etc.).
The package:
* Salary: £55,000 per annum (depending on experience)
