Job description: Here at GXO, we are currently recruiting for a full-time, permanent Facilities Operative to join our team at Northampton, NN4 5EL ensuring that basic daily issues are resolved across the whole of the site to keep the workplace safe at all times. This is full-time, permanentposition, working on a 4 on, 4 off shift between the hours of 07:00 19:00. What youll do on a typical day: Supporting the facilities manager with completing statutory basic maintenance checks Weekly sprinkler checks Weekly generator tests Daily, weekly and monthly fire safety checks Assist with breakdowns of machinery which includes fault finding Contractor inductions and monitoring contractors whilst on site Assisting in waste management and all ad-hoc repairs to fixtures and fittings What you need to succeed at GXO: Strong communication skills, along with good listening skills Self -motivated with the ability to prioritise workloads and work under own initiative IT literate using Word and Excel Basic plumbing, woodwork and electrical skills would be helpful Adhere to GXO Health and Safety policies We engineer faster,smarter, leaner supply chains.
