We are looking for Youth Support Workers who are kind and caring and have a genuine desire to support young people, helping them develop confidence, resilience and level of independence.
This Youth Support Worker role is based at an independent residential college in Yeovil that provides specialist further education and residential care for students aged 16 to 25 years who have an Education, Health & Care Plan (EHCP) with a diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder and other moderate to severe learning disabilities including behavioural, emotional and complex needs (including medical)
* £15 per hour (including holiday pay)
* Day shifts - 08:30 - 15:00 or 14:30-22:00
* Rota includes weekends and Bank Holidays
* Based in Lufton, Yeovil - free parking on site
* Training provided - Level 3 Health & Social Care qualification, MAPA (Management of Actual and Potential Aggression)
About the Youth Support Worker role
1. Helping students to access education, health and leisure services, including activities like animal therapy, swimming or cinema visits
2. Build relationships with students between 16 and 25 years of age, providing emotional support during both highs and lows.
