An exciting opportunity has arisen for a King's Trust Achieve Tutor to join our King's Trust team reporting to our Achieve Course Leader. Our friendly and vibrant department proudly delivers the King's Trust's personal development programmes from sites across the North East and we have been a leading delivery partner for the Trust for over 26 years.
As a King's Trust Achieve Tutor with Redcar and Cleveland College you will be responsible for planning, recruiting for and delivering the King's Trust Achieve courses as a personal development study programme to learners in an FE setting. Some learners may have additional learning needs or barriers to progression and the successful candidate will be able to support, develop and motivate learners of all levels and abilities. The role includes the teaching and assessment of the King's Trust qualifications in line with awarding body criteria.
The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, passionate about working with young people, flexible and above all else, great at working as part of a team The King's Trust courses are delivered in our main college sites of Stockton Riverside College, Redcar and Cleveland College as well as offsite centres in Middlesbrough, Darlington and Bishop Auckland.
The successful candidate will have teaching experience and have, (or be working towards) a Cert Ed or PGCE. Experience of working with young people of a variety of levels and who may face barriers to learning is essential. King's Trust specific training and mentoring will be provided.
