This is an opportunity for an experienced Building Control/Management professional to join our Building Control team and to help deliver the Council’s Building Control duties with safe and compliant buildings. Applicants should be able to demonstrate an understanding of Building Control processes and experience of managing the delivery of a service. The work involves managing a range of building control duties to deal with varied projects in urban and rural locations around the Council area. We offer a hybrid working environment with a blend of local office hubs, site work and home working. This role will work closely with colleagues, team members, our regulatory partners and our applicants and deals with regulatory compliance, enforcement, and all aspects of Building Regulations.
You will ideally have a degree (or equivalent qualification and experience) in Building Control Surveying or a related subject and ideally have building control experience and strong communication skills and can show experience and evidence of working on a range of projects.
