We are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our team. As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will play a vital role in managing commercial and contractual aspects of projects, ensuring timely delivery, and accurate reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage relationships with the supply chain to ensure effective project execution.
* Negotiate and agree budgets and costs, including variations to project scope.
* Verify designs and project costs, raising queries where necessary.
* Attend pre-contract meetings and liaise with construction professionals to ensure timely completion of actions.
* Produce and maintain up-to-date procurement schedules.
* Analyse subcontractor quotations and recommend placement of orders.
* Compile subcontract orders for approval and provide ongoing contract administration.
* Visit sites to measure and value completed works.
* Assess subcontractor payment entitlement and process payments.
* Reconcile cost and value to date/forecast to inform management teams of project performance.
Requirements:
* A degree in Quantity Surveying or Construction Management is essential.
* A minimum of 5 years' experience in quantity surveying for a house builder.
* A full clean UK driving license and access to a vehicle.
