Our client is a small but well-established, growing, market leading specialist in the delivery of sustainable manufacturing services. They are forward thinking and dynamic, investing in new technology with autonomy within the role. Following a move to a new factory and expansion, they seek to appoint a Warehouse / Material Flow Manager to oversee the movement of materials within the production system, ensuring efficient operations and inventory management.
Responsibilities
* Daily Operations: Coordinate daily workflow for logistics teams; oversee logistics, receiving (and inspection), inventory management and storage; ensure production lines have necessary materials for uninterrupted assembly.
* Inventory Management: Manage inventory levels and accuracy across all locations/departments; conduct regular inventory assessments and audits; develop and progress the department in line with lean methodologies; collaborate with other departments to optimise space utilization; lead, train, and motivate staff; conduct daily/weekly meetings to discuss workflow, challenges, and improvements; foster a high-quality production support team through effective leadership.
Qualifications
The successful candidate will be an organised, detail-oriented supply chain professional with proficiency in inventory management systems and MS Office, and familiarity with ERP systems (e.g. EFACS / SAP). This is primarily a management/leadership role, with hands-on capability when appropriate, and the ability to work autonomously, take ownership of the department, and communicate effectively within a team.
