Children Social Worker - Assessment Team
Location: North East
We are currently expanding our Assessment Team and seeking passionate and dedicated Children Social Workers to join us in making a positive impact on the lives of vulnerable children.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Assessment and Analysis:
Conduct thorough assessments of children and their families to determine needs and risks.Analyse information gathered from various sources to inform decision-making and intervention plans.
2. Child Protection:
Work within a statutory framework to assess and manage risks to children.Develop and implement child protection plans in collaboration with families and other professionals.
3. Collaboration and Communication:
Work closely with colleagues, partner agencies, and external stakeholders.Communicate effectively with children, families, and professionals, both in writing and verbally.
4. Court Proceedings:
Prepare clear and concise court reports as required.Provide evidence and attend court hearings as a professional witness when necessary.
5. Support and Intervention:
Provide direct support and intervention to children and families as part of the assessment process.Work collaboratively with colleagues to deliver effective services and support plans.
Qualifications and Requirements:
6. Social Work qualification and current registration with Social Work England.
7. Previous experience in a children social work role, particularly in assessments.
8. Knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures.
9. Strong analytical and decision-making skills.
10. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
