Are you passionate about protecting and enhancing the landscape of the Cotswolds?

An exciting opportunity to join Cotswold District Council as our Landscape Officer on a two-year fixed-term contract. You will be pivotal in providing high-quality, robust landscape and green infrastructure advice, ensuring the delivery of positive environmental outcomes that support our community, climate change, and nature recovery priorities.


About The Role

Landscape Officer

Salary: £39,967 – £42,107 per annum pro rata.

Hours per week: 29.6.

Contract type: Fixed Term, 2 Years.

Location: Cirencester/Agile.


Responsibilities

You will work with a variety of stakeholders including the Cotswold National Landscape Board, developers, planning agents and applicants, landscape consultants, local communities, and other customers. You will be vital in creating sustainable, positive outcomes across the district through a forward-thinking and practical solution-based approach.


Requirements

* Postgraduate qualification in your area of expertise.
* Significant relevant experience in a related Landscape role.
* High level of knowledge, understanding and experience of all aspects of landscape and green infrastructure.
* Ability to work positively with a range of stakeholders and customers.
* Experience of continuously improving services and developing products to meet customer need.
* Good communication and negotiation skills.


Special Conditions

* Full Driving Licence and access to a vehicle.
* This post is designated as politically restricted in accordance with the Local Government and Housing Act 1989.
