About the role
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Trust Specialty Doctor in Obstetrics & Gynaecology to start as soon as possible. Ideally, the post holder will have UK experience at the level of an ST4 or above. This post is part of a service improvement to improve the workforce ratio from 1:8 to 1:10.
We have a 10-bed labour suite, a 23-bed post-natal ward, and manage Gynaecology patients on our surgical wards. We run a variety of clinics, day‑case lists, inpatient lists, and an early pregnancy unit.
The successful applicant will initially work a 1:8 full shift rota, progressing to 1:10 as soon as recruitment is complete.
Responsibilities
* Perform all clinical aspects of Obstetrics.
* Attend to occasional emergencies and unforeseen circumstances as requested by an appropriate Consultant.
* Instruction of student nurses, pupil midwives, and undergraduate medical students from Warwick.
* Lecturing to student nurses and pupil midwives and undergraduate medical students (upon recognition as a lecturer by the Central Midwives).
* Involvement in research and audit; support the ongoing audit programme.
* Attend administrative meetings and participate in the Directorate System of administration.
Qualifications
* Full GMC registration.
* Minimum of 6 months UK experience.
* Preferably at least ST4 level or higher.
