Graduate Civil Engineer, Warwick. circa 2 years experience in a consultancy environment. This role focuses on driving projects in development infrastructure, with a clear trajectory to Chartered Engineer. You will work with a supportive team that mentors you through the ICE or IStructE Chartership process and provides opportunities to take technical ownership on residential, commercial, and industrial schemes.
The Opportunity & Responsibilities
You will join a highly regarded national firm known for delivering complex site developments across the Midlands. Your role spans all stages from initial feasibility through to final construction delivery, developing skills in design, project coordination, and client communication.
 * Detailed Design and Technical Approval: Produce final drawings and calculations for adoption and technical sign-off, focusing on S278, S38 Highways, and S104 Drainage agreements.
 * Advanced Modelling: Prepare and manipulate 3D ground models using Civil 3D for cut and fill analysis, volume calculations, and road profiling.
 * Feasibility and Planning: Assist with pre-purchase feasibility studies, site appraisals, and resolving planning conditions related to drainage, highways, and flood risk.
 * Stakeholder Liaison: Act as a key point of contact for clients, architects, and external bodies, including the Environment Agency, Local Highway Authorities, and Water Companies.
 * Professional Development: Engage with the company’s mentorship scheme with the goal of achieving Chartered Engineer status (ICE or IStructE).
 * Site attendance: Attend site inspections, client meetings, and, when required, public inquiries to represent the firm’s technical expertise.
What You Need to Bring
This role suits an ambitious engineer who thrives on responsibility and technical challenge.
 * Experience: Approximately two years of relevant post-graduate experience, ideally in a UK civil engineering consultancy.
 * Education: Degree in Civil Engineering or an equivalent qualification.
 * Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in design software, specifically AutoCAD and Civil 3D (or equivalent).
 * Competencies: Strong analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
