The Role This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Audit & Accounts Senior to take ownership of audit assignments while supporting and mentoring junior team members. You will work closely with managers and partners, gaining exposure to a varied portfolio of clients. Key Responsibilities Lead and complete audit assignments from planning through to completion, with supervision from a manager Carry out audit fieldwork in line with agreed budgets and deadlines, ensuring compliance with all regulatory and professional standards Prepare statutory accounts and tax computations for a wide range of clients, including limited companies, partnerships, sole traders, and charities (charity experience desirable but not essential) Supervise, support, and mentor junior members of the audit and accounts team Liaise directly with clients both on-site and remotely to build and maintain strong working relationships Identify and communicate issues and opportunities to managers and partners as appropriate Skills & Experience Required Previous experience in an audit and accounts role within an accountancy practice Experience leading audits and working with minimal supervision Strong technical knowledge of UK audit and accounting standards Experience preparing statutory accounts and tax computations Ability to supervise and support junior staff Excellent communication and client-facing skills ACA / ACCA part-qualified or qualified (or equivalent experience) preferred Benefits Competitive salary of £30,000 £40,000 Standard pension scheme Holiday entitlement starting at 20 days, increasing by 1 day per year up to 23 days, and then 25 days after 5 years service (plus bank holidays) Flexible working hours: start between 8:009:00am, finish between 4:305:30pm, with a 1-hour lunch break Hybrid working: 2 days working from home per week Paid overtime Dress for your diary dress code Monthly staff socials, including in-office takeaways or team-building activities outside the office
