My client is seeking an experienced and well-connected Business Development Manager to lead the growth of the Social Housing Division across the North East. This is a key strategic role, aimed at unlocking new opportunities and increasing presence in the social housing market — complementing the £30 million per annum already delivered from this region across broader sectors.
Responsibilities
* Identifying, developing, and converting new business opportunities within the social housing sector.
* Building strong relationships with housing associations, local authorities, and key stakeholders.
* Working closely with regional teams – including Divisional Director, Contract Managers, Surveyors, and Project Managers – to align business growth with operational capability.
* Leveraging market knowledge and network to position the company as a trusted delivery partner.
Qualifications
* A proven track record in business development within the social housing sector.
* Deep understanding of the North East housing landscape, ideally based in the region.
* Strong industry network and ability to open doors quickly.
* Self-starter with commercial acumen and relationship-building skills.
* Comfortable operating at both strategic and operational levels.
