Job Summary and key responsibilities We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced and confident HR professional to join our growing HR team as an HR Advisor Team Leader. This role reports into the Group HR Operations Manager and offers the chance to make a real impact across a dynamic and growing organisation. This is a fantastic opportunity for a strong ER specialist who enjoys both hands-on case management and developing others. You’ll lead on complex cases, coach and mentor HR Advisors, influence senior stakeholders and play a key role in driving continuous improvement across our HR operations. You’ll also support the integration of newly acquired brands, contribute to strategic HR projects and help shape a positive, inclusive workplace culture across the Group. Key Responsibilities: Team Management Lead and manage a team of HR Advisors who support business areas with employee relations matters including monitoring workload allocation and case management Coach and mentor the HR Advisor team including holding regular 1:1s, supporting their professional development and ensuring their wellbeing Support the escalation of complex HR Advisor queries Champion a culture of collaboration, inclusion and continuous improvement. Provide flexible support to the wider HR Operations team as required. Support and lead workforce planning and talent development within your team. Employee Relations Ensure fairness, consistency and compliance with employment legislation in all ER matters. Lead on some complex or high-profile ER cases, appeal cases and any litigation. Ensure business areas provide high-quality employee experience through sound people decisions. Champion a positive and inclusive workplace culture Develop and review ER policies and procedures in line with legislative updates. Support with external legal liaison where required. Monitor trends in ER cases to proactively address root causes. Travel to offices, external meetings and newly acquired premises as required. Other Key Responsibilities Build strong relationships with senior management in supported business areas to act as a trusted advisor. Attend regional meetings and hold regular reviews to discuss people trends and challenges. Support the integration of new acquisitions from an HR perspective. Identify training needs and deliver ER-focused workshops. Lead and support HR projects, including adoption of new technology. Support maintenance and continuous improvement of the HRIS. Complete monthly board reports and ad-hoc people data reports. Champion a culture of collaboration, inclusion and continuous improvement. Ownership of ER risk management framework. What are we looking for: Experience in managing/leading a team or deputising for the team manager/leader. Experience managing complex and high-risk employee relations cases in a large organisation. Strong knowledge of UK employment legislation and ER best practice. Confident stakeholder management skills, including senior leadership exposure. A leader who is comfortable with change and embraces an ever evolving working environment. Strong organisational and time management skills in order to keep across the details of multiple ER cases simultaneously. Strong experience of report writing for ER cases, business proposals and data reports. Experience of analysing data, presenting findings and using this to inform business decisions. Enjoys working in a busy and complex role. Willingness to work flexibly and travel when needed. Desirable CIPD qualified or working towards qualification. Multi-site experience from a central location would be advantageous. Providing support and coaching to managers in periods of operational change.
