GSL Education are offering an opportunity for an Alternative Provision Teacher to work across specialist settings in Nottingham, within the NG11 area, delivering tailored learning that meets the academic and emotional needs of pupils with varied backgrounds. As an Alternative Provision (AP) Teacher, you will plan and deliver flexible lessons that engage learners who may have faced barriers to education, using creative strategies to rebuild confidence and re-engage them with learning. Key Responsibilities: Deliver personalised lessons suited to individual learning needs. Support pupils with behavioural, emotional, or social challenges. Adapt teaching methods to promote engagement and positive outcomes. Build trusting relationships that encourage consistency and progress. Work collaboratively with staff to maintain clear routines and expectations. Requirements: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or a recognised teaching qualification. Experience or a strong interest in working as an Alternative Provision Teacher. Confidence managing behaviour in non-traditional learning environments. Strong communication skills and a calm, patient approach. An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
