Certain Advantage is partnering with a key client to recruit a Mechanical Handling Engineer. Youll support mechanical handling and building services projects across nuclear and non-nuclear facilities, ensuring safe, compliant, and efficient operation of cranes, lifting equipment, and maintenance assets.
What will you be doing?
* Support the Mechanical Engineering Lead with design, maintenance, and modification of mechanical handling systems.
* Scope and deliver mechanical designs and upgrades across the full project lifecycle.
* Maintain technical documentation, drawings, and compliance records.
* Collaborate across disciplines during installation, commissioning, and testing phases.
* Provide technical input to risk assessments and progress reports.
A couple of things you should know:
1. Degree-qualified in Mechanical Engineering (Masters or CEng preferred).
2. 3+ years experience in a regulated industry (nuclear, defence, maritime, infrastructure, or oil & gas).
3. Knowledge of cranes, lifting systems, and mechanical building services.
4. Skilled in mechanical design, FEA, and interpreting engineering drawings.
