We have an exciting opportunity for you to join our Tactical Maintenance and Investment team, helping to drive operational efficiency and sustainability across our regional assets.

What you'll do
You'll be responsible for identifying and delivering operational optimisation projects across our water recycling centres. Working closely with operational teams, engineers, and commercial colleagues, your aim will be to deliver improvements that reduce operating costs while maintaining our high standards of service and compliance.
You'll collaborate with a variety of stakeholders, including EM&I, Operations, Science, Health and Safety, Innovation, Engineering, and others to ensure solutions are practical, safe, and provide long-term value. An active on-site presence will be key to ensuring projects meet safety, quality, and programme requirements.
Additionally, you'll:
* Manage the programme of optimisation projects, exploring all avenues to maximise output and savings on OPEX
* Review and replicate successful delivery methods across other water recycling assets to maximise savings
* Work with internal teams to ensure installations are suitable for ongoing maintenance and operation
* Compile and analyse data to produce reports and presentations for the Water Recycling Senior Leadership Team and stakeholders
* Engage with stakeholders across the company to foster collaborative delivery
* Represent water recycling at technical forums and provide constructive, data-driven feedback
* Collaborate with asset management strategy teams to enhance asset maintenance lifecycle using lessons learned and data from optimisation
* Manage projects from scoping through to delivery
What you'll need
You should have a background in engineering, operations, or asset optimisation, with experience managing or delivering technical projects. Knowledge of water recycling is highly beneficial.
You will be safety-conscious, commercially aware, and capable of working across departments to make practical improvements to our assets.
Additionally, you'll have:
* A strong understanding of health, safety, and environmental regulations
* Excellent project delivery and stakeholder management skills, including engagement
* A proactive, solutions-focused mindset
* Experience working in operational or engineering environments
Experience with ICA (Instrumentation, Control, and Automation) systems is highly advantageous, supporting data-driven, smart optimisation projects that promote sustainability and efficiency.
This role is regionally based with a mix of office and site work across Somerset, Wiltshire, Dorset, and surrounding areas. We welcome applications from candidates in these locations.
