Description Payroll Lead (Apprentice) | 10045 | Permanent Contract | 37 hours per week | £31,537 to £36,363 per annum (Scale G/H) | County Hall, Norwich / Hybrid Norfolk County Council (NCC) are looking for a skilled and detail-focused Payroll Officer to join our supportive and professional Payroll team within Finance Exchequer Services. This is an important role delivering high-quality payroll services, ensuring employees and customers receive accurate, timely payments while maintaining compliance with statutory and Council financial regulations. You will process and validate payroll data, carry out payroll calculations, resolve employee queries, and maintain accurate records using the payroll system Oracle Cloud. The role also supports data quality, compliance monitoring, reporting, and continuous improvement of payroll processes. We are looking for someone with strong organisational skills, excellent attention to detail, and a good understanding of payroll legislation, who can manage deadlines while providing a high standard of customer service.
