Overview
The post-holder will join a team of three consultants and eight associate specialists who provide a comprehensive dermatology service to the area of mid and North Hampshire. This is closely supported by a specialist nurse team who carry out a full range of treatments such as surgery, phototherapy, PDT, patch testing, day treatments and support the medical team with counselling and management of melanoma and other cancer patients. We are ideally seeking a candidate with MOPS/ Cancer experience.
Job Plan
The provisional timetable will be a 10 PA contract, involving a mixture of minor operations, outpatient work as well as SPA, admin time and non-face-to-face direct clinical contact time. This timetable will be discussed and agreed upon successful appointment and may depend on subspecialist interest. Given the variable nature of clinical work, some activities may over and under run; if an activity regularly over or under runs, a review of the job plan and/or support may be appropriate. All Consultants are expected to undergo annual appraisal and review of their job plans and professional standards. Applications for part time and full time roles are welcome. The aim is to ensure continued provision of a comprehensive, high quality dermatology service and to lead ongoing developments within the service to ensure all outpatient, surgical and cancer targets are met.
