Overview

Collaborate with the team to maintain a safe, clean, and organised environment that welcomes children and nurtures their development. Use a friendly approach to build relationships with parents, carers, children, colleagues, and external agencies. Implement interesting and inspiring activities that promote learning through play. Model best practices in accordance with regulatory guidelines and company policies.


Responsibilities

* Maintain accurate records and reports on children's progress, interests, and achievements using SEND documentation.
* Ensure the support cycle for SEND children (Assess, Plan, Do, Review) is effectively implemented to meet individual outcomes and next steps.
* Communicate regularly with parents and carers through the Satchel app, face-to-face meetings, and report writing.
* Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and parent information events, including occasional evening or weekend activities.
* Engage in Kindred SENDCo meetings and contribute to company working groups.
* Provide a safe, stimulating, and educational environment for the children to learn, play and develop.
* Create interesting and inspiring activities to help children learn through play.
* Build relationships with key children and record their interests and achievements through observations.
* Follow SEND legislation and best practices in daily practice.


Qualifications

* Relevant qualifications in Early Years Education and SEND (e.g., Level 3 or above) is desirable.
* Experience working with children with SEND in an early years setting.
* Strong communication skills and a friendly, approachable demeanor.
* Knowledge of SEND legislation and best practices.


Requirements

As part of safeguarding and promoting the welfare of the children, the successful candidate is expected to undergo an enhanced DBS check. This is a full-time position requiring 30-40 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Salary: £26,200 - £28,296 with an extensive benefits package.
