Overview
We are looking for a talented and enthusiastic Area Chef Supervisor to oversee catering delivery across multiple ESS sites. You'll be responsible for maintaining high standards of food, safety, and service, while ensuring our teams are motivated and supported to deliver the best possible customer experience. Ambitious and hands-on, you'll lead by example, driving quality and consistency across all kitchens. With strong leadership skills and a flexible approach, you'll support site teams, manage compliance, and step in where needed to maintain exceptional service.
Responsibilities
* Lead and support onsite catering teams across ESS sites in Cardiff and surrounding areas
* Prepare and oversee the delivery of high-quality, nutritious meals for our clients and customers
* Ensure compliance with Food Safety, Hygiene and Health & Safety standards at all times
* Oversee kitchen standards, including cleanliness, stock control and equipment use
* Complete weekly reporting, bookwork and audits as required
* Drive consistency in food quality, presentation, and service across all sites
* Engage with stakeholders and build strong working relationships
* Support, coach and develop kitchen teams to achieve their full potential
* Previous experience in a Supervisor role is essential
* Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire teams
* Flexible and adaptable approach, able to travel between multiple sites
* Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (essential)
* Knowledge of Health & Safety, Food Hygiene, and Environmental principles
* Organised, self-motivated and able to work under pressure
* IT literate, with experience in stock management and reporting systems
* Passionate about food, service excellence and continuous improvement
Qualifications
