Position: Warehouse Inventory Manager
Location: Stanford-le-Hope, Essex
Salary: £40, – £46,+ Benefits
Contract Type: Permanent, Full-Time
Working Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday (rotating shifts between 6am and 10pm)
An exciting opportunity has arisen with a global logistics leader for an experienced Warehouse Inventory Manager to join their growing UK operation in Stanford-le-Hope. This is a key on-site role at a multi-user logistics facility, responsible for leading a small inventory team and acting as the operational link between internal systems and client-facing stock control.
The Role
This is not just about stock accuracy-it’s about driving accountability, solving problems, and being a key bridge between customer expectations and system performance. You’ll lead a team of three inventory support staff, ensuring seamless communication, timely investigations, and efficient stock control processes.
Your Responsibilities Will Include:
1. Managing a team of 3 Inventory Support staff, including scheduling, absence management, and performance oversight
2. Overseeing inventory control across a 13-user site, with no night shifts
3. Leading root cause analysis for discrepancies and process failures
4. Acting as the key escalation point for customer inventory issues and service-level concerns
5. Managing interface message monitoring and resolution between systems
6. Driving process improvement initiatives and SOP development
7. Responding to and resolving customer investigations and complaints
8. Generating internal and client-facing reports on inventory performance
Working Hours & Shifts
9. 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday
10. Rotating 3-week shift pattern:
11. Week 1: Early (start 6am)
12. Week 2: Middle
13. Week 3: Late (latest finish 10pm)
14. No night shifts
15. Half-hour unpaid lunch break daily
What We’re Looking For
16. Minimum 3 years’ experience in an inventory management or control role
17. Strong background in customer-facing stock control, investigations, and issue resolution
18. Confident leading a small team and managing day-to-day operations
19. Excellent communication skills and relationship-building abilities
20. Proficient in Microsoft Excel and warehouse management systems
21. Skilled in process improvement, root cause analysis, and data interpretation
22. Experience monitoring system interface messages and ensuring data accuracy
