The Turbo Guy LTD is one the largest remanufacturers and distributors of Turbochargers in the UK. We sell our product to motor factors and main dealers across the country. Since our establishment in 2010, we have grown from 2 members of staff to 45 across two sites, our Remanufacturing facility in Glasgow and our distribution hub in Yorkshire. The Turbo Guy is a family business which has great staff retention, 10 members of staff over 10 years plus service. In the last 3 years The Turbo Guy has moved to much bigger facilities in Glasgow and increased its production capacity to 1500 turbos per month with the scope to be at 2000 by 2027. To do this we need to grow our production team and we are looking to do this with modern apprentices. In the past Turbo Guy has had great success with Modern Apprenticeships, with 3 of the 5 making it to senior management level within the business, Turbo Guy gives ample opportunity to prove yourself and grow within the business. \n On a daily basis you will be disassembling old turbochargers from Cars/Vans/Trucks which come in all different conditions, mostly using hand tools. The turbochargers then need degreased and fully cleaned to our impeccable standard. This is followed by a thorough inspection of all components, using hand tools and inspection methods. The Turbo is then assembled either using original or new parts and then calibrated to an OE standard. The Turbo Guy holds itself as being the top re-manufacturer in the country, we expect only the best from our engineers. In 2021 Turbo Guy were awarded their ISO9001 accreditation which highlights the quality aspect, since then we have successfully attained the certificate for 2 further periods and continually strive for excellence. You must hold strong communication skills and an ability to approach tasks in a logical manner. You must have the ability to work as part of a team and demonstrate enthusiasm and a commitment to pursuing a career within the engineering industry. You will be self-motivated, driven and willing to learn. You will also be required to use your initiative and have a flexible approach to learning. As part of the recruitment process you will require to complete an on-line and practical aptitude test.
