Job Title: Fire Damper / Air Hygiene Engineer
Location: Walsall, West Midlands
Salary/Benefits: £25k - £37k + Training & Benefits
Our client is a well-established Ventilation / Air Hygiene company, with a strong presence across the Midlands. Due to continued company growth, they are seeking an experienced Fire Damper / Air Hygiene Engineer, who is technically-minded and switched-on. Ideally, candidates will have experience undertaking remedial duties on Fire Dampers, however, they are able to provide comprehensive training for hardworking engineers. They are also offering comprehensive salaries and benefits, including overtime, pension and use of a company vehicle.
We are seeking someone who is based around: Walsall, Wolverhampton, Lichfield, Burntwood, Cannock, Penkridge, Dudley, West Bromwich, Halesowen, Stourbridge, Marston Green, Solihull, Bromsgrove, Redditch, Kidderminster, Derby, Nottingham, Castle Donington, Swadlincote, Leicester, Hinckley, Bedworth, Coventry, Rugby, Market Harborough, Beeston, Melton Mowbray.
Experience / Qualifications:
- Successful track record working as a Fire Damper / Air Hygiene Engineer
- Working knowledge of BS9999 and TR19 guidelines
- Ideally will hold the BS9999 qualification
- Able to interpret schematic / CAD drawings
- Good literacy, numeracy and IT skills
- Flexible to travel as required
The Role:
- Undertaking the inspection, testing and servicing of Fire Dampers in line with compliance standards
- Completing repairs and remedial tasks to Fire Dampers as required
- Thorough cleans of kitchen extract and ventilation systems
- Installations of access panels
- Conducting risk assessments on site to scope for new projects
- Meeting clients on site to discuss requirements
- Assessing the performance of Fire Dampers and making recommendations for repairs
- Producing thorough quotations for works
