Who we are looking for
A Senior Messaging Engineer who will actively manage, support, and develop Unified Communication (UC) technologies across the Business.
You will contribute to engineering and architecture disciplines by utilizing your knowledge to plan, build, deploy, and support new and existing UC technologies.
You will collaborate with other teams to proactively monitor system performance, address, and resolve issues. The role aims to maintain and improve service availability, enhancing user experience.
You will participate in planning discussions on IT investments, ensuring solutions comply with Information Security and Governance requirements.
This role is eligible for the Company’s hybrid working from home policy.
Preferred skills and experience
* Experience as a 3rd line Unified Communications Engineer.
* Experience designing, configuring, and implementing solutions within an organization.
* Proficiency in delivering, implementing, and supporting Microsoft Exchange, both Online and On-Premise.
* Support experience with Microsoft Teams.
* Experience maintaining, supporting, and managing Cisco IronPort appliances such as ESA.
* Experience with MDM technologies, preferably Workspace One.
* Strategic planning and decision-making skills to align IT with business objectives.
* Ability to understand and deliver tasks and projects to business standards.
* Ability to work to deadlines with a pragmatic approach to administration, governance, and risk management.
Main Responsibilities
* Maintain and manage core UC services, implementing improvements as needed.
* Collaborate with IT management and other teams to design, develop, deploy, and administer collaboration services.
* Participate in product evaluations, system testing, and lifecycle management.
* Enforce security controls when enabling new UC applications and features, maintaining documentation.
* Participate in scheduled and unscheduled system maintenance, including change management and off-hours support.
* Maintain a UC Service Catalogue with service definitions and technologies used.
* Govern UC applications and features in line with ISG standards.
* Set up UC applications and features, including technical designs, standards, and process documentation.
