NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK, employing around 40,000 staff across various clinical and non-clinical roles. We provide acute hospital, primary, community, and mental health services to a population of over 1.15 million, expanding to 2.2 million when regional and national services are included.

This is a fixed-term, full-time position lasting 9 months.

The shift pattern for this position is standard office hours.

The main objective of the MDT Coordinator is to facilitate a clinically appropriate and timely pathway for cancer and suspected cancer patients. The post-holder will be responsible for the efficient running of multidisciplinary team meetings for the specialty, ensuring patients progress through the pathway promptly. This involves organizing meetings, ensuring necessary documentation is available for treatment decisions, recording outcomes and decisions, and coordinating patient pathways. The position is based within GGC.


Minimum Requirements


Essential

* A qualification in administration or equivalent experience
* Excellent organizational and communication skills
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office systems
* Excellent keyboard skills
* Extensive knowledge of medical terminology
* Knowledge of cancer pathways and terminology
* Ability to work flexibly and independently


Desirable

* Knowledge or experience with information systems used within GGC
* Experience working with multidisciplinary teams
