Job overview

The purpose of this role is to provide clinical care working in Auditory Implantation to include remote care services and aftercare services. Aftercare services may be delivered in a clinical setting or by postal service, and the postholder will frequently work alone. The post holder will be supervised indirectly by a qualified Audiologist.

This role will also provide Clinical performance support for Auditory Implants. Supporting the reporting on Key Performance Indicators within this field as well as supporting the co-ordination of the geographical distribution of patient care across the North East of England.

This role involves patient care. All such care will be provided in an effective, caring and compassionate service to patients. The post holder is required to abide by the NHS values and the Constitution.

Main duties of the job

Work as an associate practitioner providing clinical services directly to patients across Rehab, audiology and medical arms of the Auditory Implant service. To include repairs of devices, supporting medical clinics & ensuring correct Implant devices are available for theatre & registered appropriately.

Key Results and deliverables:

· Timely repair of Auditory Implant devices managed in house.

· Theatres receiving appropriate implant type/model to ensure surgeries can proceed.

Actioning required actions from medical assessment clinics to support timely pathways
