We are looking for a Sales Associate to join our Surgical Technologies Sales team covering South & Midlands of the UK. Working closely with an experienced Regional Sales Manager, you will develop and foster strong relationships with key opinion leaders, support customer education, and pursue business opportunities to grow Stryker business in targeted accounts while delivering exemplary customer service.


In this role you will

* Develop the skills required to become an effective sales representative.
* Work closely with the sales team to drive compliance to current contracts.
* Learn and practice techniques to grow the volume of the Surgical Technologies portfolio.
* Focus on market‑leading brands such as Neptune and Safe Air.
* Manage business in accounts within an existing sales territory and become responsible for day‑to‑day running of key accounts.
* Handle stock issues, instrument requirements, organize loan kits, conduct regular customer training, and provide guidance on the safe use of Stryker products.
* Support other sales managers to allow them to concentrate on new business acquisition and account development.

Essentially this is a training role with a view to becoming a full‑time Sales Representative with independent targets and business objectives. Initially there will be no individual sales target. Bonus will be based on achievement of milestones/objectives and regional target achievement.


Key accountabilities and responsibilities

* Learn the skills required to manage a territory effectively and grow business in line with national sales objectives.
* Implement training sessions and workshops on Stryker products, delivering them to nurses, theatre practitioners and surgeons.
* Understand customers' needs, promote and sell Stryker’s products, with training on basic selling, presenting, and negotiation techniques.
* Manage product delivery through consignment of kits or loan services and optimize channels to meet customer needs.
* Provide customer service to an existing customer base in the theatre and clinical environment, building relationships with key personnel at specific hospitals.
* Ensure that patient care is paramount; only recommend appropriate products.
* Collaborate closely with other Sales team members and the Business Unit Manager to maintain best‑in‑class service levels across the region.
* Attend surgeon training meetings and educational conferences.
* Demonstrate outstanding ethics, treat customers and employees with respect, and represent Stryker positively.
* Conduct trials and evaluations of products in theatre and clinical environments as required.
* Note customer needs, liaise with sales colleagues to follow up and introduce new or additional Stryker products or support.
* Record customer details, maintain a basic business plan highlighting daily, weekly and monthly objectives, and develop prioritization skills.


Job Requirements

* Prior sales or business experience is ideal but not essential.
* Commercial acumen; interest or experience dealing with customers.
* Computer skills, including MS Office.
* Presentation skills with modern media.
* Workshop and demonstration skills.
* Interest in anatomy and physiology.
* A background demonstrating ability to engage with others, influence, motivate and work hard.
