As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you will work in an agile multidisciplinary team that develop & builds applications that are consumed by wider customers.
You will build, maintain, upgrade and support Live services hosted on AWS platform.
You will be working across one or more projects, liaising with other technical teams, with the autonomy to identify and build the right solution to meet user needs.
You will have a deep knowledge and expertise of cloud technologies, mainly around infrastructure-as-code, CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, alerting and cloud networking.
You will have a deep understanding of information security, designing solutions and services with security controls embedded, specifically engineered as mitigation against security threats as a core part of the solutions and services.
Your responsibilities:
Implement and manage highly available, scalable & secure applications hosted on cloud platforms (AWS).
Implement AWS best practices to safeguard data, applications, and systems hosted on cloud platform.
Design, implement, and manage various DevOps tools and technologies, including CI/CD platforms (Jenkins, GitLab CI), configuration management tools (Ansible, Puppet), and containerization technologies (Docker, ECS, Kubernetes).
Monitor system performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement optimizations to improve reliability and efficiency.
Writing and maintaining Infrastructure as Code using Terraform,
Ansible to manage and provision infrastructure through code, ensuring consistency and repeatability.
Identifying and automating applications efficiency, increase reliability and reduce repetitive manual tasks.
Work with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless collaboration and effective communication
Troubleshoot complex system issues, analyse data, and identify areas for improvement.
Document and refine DevOps practices, including version control, code deployment, and configuration management.
Your Profile
Essential skills/knowledge/experience:
Hands-on experience, as a Sr DevOps, on AWS Cloud with deep understanding of AWS Security, Identity, and Compliance services.
Experience in designing and implementing solutions using AWS Serverless services (ECS Fargate, Lambda, SNS, SQS, API gateway etc)
Solid understanding of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, Loadbalancer and firewalls, SSL/TLS
Experience in designing and implementing containerization and orchestration technologies (Docker, ECS, EKS, Kubernetes).
Expertise in build, deploy and manage solutions using a variety of storage services from AWS.
Experience with infrastructure provisioning, support and automation using Terraform, Ansible etc
Expertise in designing and implementing monitoring, logging and alerting systems (ELK stack, Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk)
Proficient with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, Git, GitHub Actions) and expertise in implementing and managing cloud-based database services like Amazon RDS, DynamoDB, ElastiCache etc.
Associate is expected to either be SC Cleared or eligible for SC Clearance - Must have worked continuously in the UK for 5 years
