Terumo Aortic are currently looking to recruit an Environmental Health & Safety Associate to join our EH&S team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting the EH&S Manager in maintaining an excellent EH&S policy. The main objectives of the role are;
1. Ensure Environmental Health and Safety tasks are in accordance with company policy at all times
2. Assist in the administration and maintenance of a highly effective proactive Environmental Health Safety management system
3. Assist in ensuring a high level of visibility of Environmental Health and Safety throughout the Company
4. Assist in general administration of Environmental Health & Safety documents
5. Assist in internal audit program as required in compliance of Environmental Health and Safety
6. Assist in co-ordination of Environmental Health & Safety audit recommendations as required
7. Assist in as required the administration and training of accident and hazard reports in order to maintain a high standard of reporting and recommendations
8. Assist in taking minutes at meetings, maintaining action tracker and proactively following up on actions
9. Regularly participate in management GEMBA walks
10. Updating site information on EH&S noticeboards as required
11. Provide adhoc administration support as required
12. Assist as and when required with site evacuation
13. Support with purchase orders and invoicing
14. Co-ordinate First Aid stock and other stock requirements throughout the Company
The successful candidate will possess;
15. Experience in a similar role
16. High level of attention to detail
17. Ability to exercise good judgment
18. Ability to engage with people at all levels
19. Demonstrate communication skills, both written and oral
20. IT literate with proficient knowledge in MS Office
21. Be able to prioritise and manage tasks effectively
22. Basic knowledge of current Environmental Health & Safety Legislation
23. First Aid Certificate is desirable
