Senior Chiller Technician / Applied Services Leader

Position Overview
ABM is seeking a seasoned chiller technician to join and lead our Applied Services division in the greater San Francisco Bay Area.
This is a rare opportunity to work with a manager who has 35+ years of Applied Services experience and knows exactly what guys need to be successful in the field.

Key Responsibilities
* Lead and mentor Applied Services technician team
* Service and repair chillers from all major brands (York, Trane, Carrier, Daikin, Smartd, Dunham Bush)
* Perform preventive and predictive maintenance programs
* Conduct specialized analysis including vibration, oil, refrigerant analysis, ferrographic oil analysis, and eddy current testing
* Execute refrigerant conversions, retrofits, and system clean-up
* Install and retrofit control panels and MCS systems
* Complete VFD retrofits and installations
* Conduct compressor overhauls and chiller retubing
* Handle cooling tower upgrades, repairs, and replacements
Required Qualifications:
* Minimum 10+ years experience with commercial chiller systems
* Expertise with centrifugal, screw, and absorption chillers
* Factory training certifications from major manufacturers preferred
* Strong leadership and mentoring skills
* Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
* Ability to work in mechanical rooms and industrial environments

Work Environment
You’ll be working on central plant operations for commercial and industrial facilities throughout the San Francisco Bay Area. Our factory-trained technicians service all types of major manufacturer equipment in diverse settings from hospitals and data centers to manufacturing facilities.
