Join to apply for the HGV Waste Water Operative role at Lanes Group
Location: Ellesmere Port, Cheshire.
Hours: 42.5 hours per week. Salary: £33,327 to £37,526 per annum depending on experience. This role is on a shift pattern with times of 8am–6pm front shift and 12pm–10pm back shift. Weekends and Bank Holidays are included.
Responsibilities
* Work closely with a CST (UU Operative) to clean, camera and carry out sewer investigations as directed by United Utilities.
* Attend to customers, inform them of works to be carried out and answer concerns as well as timescales.
* Inspect drainage systems to identify blockages, leaks, or damage that could hinder water flow.
* Carry out all aspects of high‑pressure water jetting.
* Operate high‑pressure water jetting equipment to clean and clear blockages in drains, sewers, pipes, and other wastewater systems.
* Carry out CCTV inspections where required to assess the condition of underground pipes and sewers.
* Be competent in using an electronic device (laptop/tablet) for data entry purposes.
* Ensure safety issues are reported in line with company procedures.
* Perform routine maintenance and servicing of high‑pressure water jetting equipment to ensure it is in proper working order.
Training will be provided in jetting, SLG, First Aid, Manual Handling, and Confined Spaces.
