Job Description
Primary schools in Chorley are seeking Level 2 and Level 3 Early Years Teaching Assistants to support nursery and Reception classes. The successful candidate will work closely with class teachers to deliver high‑quality learning experiences that support early play, communication, and early curriculum development.
This role offers temp‑to‑perm progression, making it an excellent opportunity for individuals looking for long‑term Early Years positions.
Responsibilities
* Supporting children during group activities and play-based learning
* Assisting with early phonics, early maths, and language development
* Providing one-to-one and small-group support
* Helping to manage behaviour through positive reinforcement
* Ensuring children are safe, supervised, and engaged
Requirements
* Level 2 or Level 3 TA qualification is essential
* Experience with Early Years children preferred
* Good knowledge of EYFS curriculum
* Warm, nurturing approach and strong communication skills
* Ability to work effectively as part of a team
