Senior DevOps Engineer – Cloud Platform & Site Reliability
Location: Nottingham or London, UK
Team: LSEG Risk Intelligence Engineering
We’re looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to help drive innovation, implement modern DevOps practices, and contribute to the evolution of our cloud‑native infrastructure.
What You’ll Be Doing
* Automate full‑stack infrastructure using Terraform and GitLab
* Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines with GitLab CI to enable fast, secure and reliable software delivery
* Deploy and manage Kubernetes workloads using Amazon EKS and Istio Service Mesh for service discovery, traffic management and observability
* Implement monitoring and alerting to ensure high availability, performance and reliability
* Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure infrastructure aligns with development and business goals
* Continuously improve systems through automation, performance tuning and process optimisation
* Contribute to our DevOps culture, sharing knowledge and best practices across the team
What You’ll Bring
* Demonstrable AWS and Kubernetes (EKS) expertise
* Hands‑on experience with Terraform, GitLab CI and Bash/Python
* Experience with orchestration and monitoring tools – Istio, Datadog, Grafana, Prometheus, ELK
* 4+ years in DevOps or Platform Engineering roles
* Proven experience building and operating cloud‑native platforms
* Strong communication, problem‑solving and collaboration skills
Preferred Skills & Experience
* Development experience in a major language (Java, C++, C#, etc.)
* AWS certifications and financial services background
