We’re supporting a growing, fast-paced business looking to appoint a Category Manager to lead all procurement activity across the business unit.
This is a high-impact role with real ownership – managing £45m+ spend, shaping supplier strategy, and partnering closely with senior stakeholders to drive value, performance, and compliance.
The role
You’ll take full responsibility for procurement across a broad range of indirect categories, including temporary labour, packaging, and FM (you dont need experience in these just some exposure to indirect procurement), while supporting wider business growth and commercial strategy.
Key areas include:
* Owning and delivering procurement strategy across Indirect spend
* Managing £45m+ spend with a focus on value, cost optimisation, and risk
* Identifying and delivering cost-saving and value-add opportunities
* Leading supplier relationships and driving performance
* Supporting new business opportunities and aligning procurement to client contracts
* Ensuring compliance, governance, and audit-ready processes
* Working closely with Legal and internal stakeholders on contracts and negotiations
* Providing clear, insightful reporting to support business decisions
