Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Team Leader to oversee operations within a care home specialising in senior care. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a compassionate approach to supporting vulnerable adults. Duties
* Lead and supervise a team of care staff, ensuring the delivery of high-quality care to residents.
* Develop, implement, and review individualised care plans in collaboration with residents and their families.
* Coordinate daily activities, including medication administration, personal care routines, and social engagement programmes.
* Monitor staff performance, provide training, and support professional development initiatives.
* Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, safeguarding policies, and care standards.
* Facilitate effective communication between team members, residents, families, and external healthcare professionals.
* Organise staff rotas to ensure adequate coverage across shifts, including evenings and weekends if required.
* Maintain accurate documentation related to resident care and staff records using IT systems.
Requirements
* Proven supervising experience within a care environment or senior care setting.
* Strong leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and guide a diverse team.
* Excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with residents, families, and healthcare professionals.
* Knowledge of care plans development and adherence to regulatory standards in adult social care.
* Familiarity with IT systems used for documentation and reporting purposes.
* Compassionate attitude with a genuine interest in improving the quality of life for older adults.
* Ability to organise workload efficiently whilst maintaining attention to detail. Pay: £14.17-£14.37 per hour
