About the Role
Planning and Building Control are at the heart of our Council’s work, ensuring that our communities thrive and grow sustainably. As a Support Officer, you’ll be a vital member of the Service Support Team, working alongside professional Planning and Building Control Officers to deliver high-quality administrative and customer service support.
Your role will involve:
* Handling incoming application payments and maintaining accurate records.
* Assisting applicants and members of the public with queries in a professional and helpful manner, both over the phone and via email.
* Providing administrative support for Planning and Building Control processes, including data entry and document management.
* Collaborating with colleagues to ensure seamless and efficient service delivery.
This role is perfect for someone with a keen interest in Planning and Building Control, a strong eye for detail, and excellent IT and administrative skills.
About You
We are looking for an enthusiastic and positive individual. You should possess:
* Previous experience in an administrative role.
* Strong IT skills with the ability to use various software platforms confidently.
* A professional telephone manner and exceptional customer service skills.
* A proactive approach to problem-solving and a desire to deliver high standards of work.
