EQUANS is recruiting for an Electrician to be based in Oldham. This is a permanent full-time role working 37 hours per week. Salary of £41,305 plus van & fuel card and benefits package.
General Overview
To carry out the duties as an Electrician in accordance with Statutory Regulations, company policies and procedures. To assist the team in producing a quality product meeting the requirements of the contract and in a safe manner. Adhere to all requirements set by the SHEQ team, policy, and strategy.
Key Accountabilities
* Carry out various electrical tasks to a high standard as instructed by the company including:
o Replacement of consumer units.
o Installing final sub‑circuit wiring.
o Fault finding.
o Replacement of final circuit accessories (sockets, light switches, etc.).
o Replacement of extractor fans in bathrooms and toilets.
o Replacement of light fittings in line with manufacturers instructions.
o Testing in line with current edition of wiring regulations (BS.7671).
o Fault finding and carrying out remedial works in accordance with current regulations.
o Be competent in completing all relevant and current certification e.g. EICR, EIC and Minor works.
* Assist with adherence to company quality standards including:
o Compliance with specification.
o Compliance with materials/workmanship schedules.
o High‑quality customer care must always act in a polite and professional manner.
o Maintain and care for all company tools.
o 1st‑time fix to be achieved wherever possible.
o Use appropriate safety equipment.
o Wear appropriate clothing/uniform.
o Ensure areas of work are left clean and tidy at the end of the day.
o Be responsible for and take due care of the company van in accordance with the company car policy.
o Be responsible for holding keys for communal entrances, meter cupboards and allow access where appropriate.
o Liaison with the client, consultants, contract administrator, head office, etc.
o Material coordination.
o Ensure accurate/timely completion of any relevant documentation required on the contract.
o Any other reasonable management request.

Qualifications
* Gold ECS card at Approved Electrician grade – Essential
* AM2 qualification – Essential
* 2391 qualification – Desirable
