Career Choices Dewis Gyrfa Ltd (CCDG) is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Welsh Government. We provide an essential, all-age, independent, impartial and bilingual careers guidance and coaching services in Wales, including the Working Wales programme.

Careers Wales is an all-age guidance service supporting young people in education and customers in the labour market. We are the only national organisation in Wales who offer impartial careers information, advice and guidance services. Our advisers are passionate about helping people achieve their potential.
Roles and Work Contexts
* Working in Education – Advisors help young people reach key transition points. They work in mainstream schools, special schools, alternative education and FE colleges, using one‑to‑one support, group sessions and digital tools.
* Working with young people and adults in the Labour Market – Advisors support those who are unemployed, economically inactive, have health or disability barriers or are seeking career change, and partner with local and national organisations to facilitate education, training and employment.

We have a full‑time vacancy for a Careers Adviser and / or Trainee Careers Adviser working with young people and adults in the labour market in Swansea. The ability to speak and work through Welsh is essential; candidates with conversational Welsh are welcomed.
You are required to travel within Wales and occasionally the UK to fulfil duties and attend learning and development events.
Qualifications
* Qualified Careers Advisers must hold a QCF Level 6 Diploma in Career Guidance and Development (or equivalent) and be eligible for the Career Development Institute Register of Practitioners.
* If you do not already have the QCF qualification, we will provide training and support to achieve it.
* Trainee Careers Advisers should be educated to degree level or equivalent and will complete the Level 6 Diploma in Career Guidance and Development in the workplace, including independent learning.
* Successful applicants will be required to have an Enhanced Disclosure from the Disclosure and Barring Service.
