The Role
Supporting the Head of Art, the Lead Animator is responsible for delivering all animation-based artwork. This includes R&D, technical investigation, evaluation, establishing workflows, and delivering content at scale during the full production cycle.
The Lead Animator defines the overall quality of animation, pushing fidelity to industry-leading standards and exploring new methodologies to push next-gen boundaries. They work with complex facial animation workflows, plan animation work effectively, and coordinate with rigging, 3D characters, and cinematics teams. They also manage motion capture shoots, organize teams, mentor artists, and communicate updates confidently within the organization.
Responsibilities
* Champion the high-level vision and direction of the game and franchise alongside the Head of Art.
* Oversee all aspects of animation production, supporting content delivery aligned with the roadmap.
* Lead and develop a team of animators.
* Push the limits of animation quality through benchmark work.
* Provide technical guidance on rigging and facial animation techniques.

Experience
