The AUKUS, Submarines, and Industrial Base Group (ASIG), within the Sea, Land, Air Division, provides timely, objective assessments that integrate technical, operational, programmatic, policy, and business analysis to NAVSEA Team Submarine program offices and stakeholders. Our support includes submarine platform procurement activities, overseeing programs like Columbia-class SSBN, Virginia-class SSN, and the new SSN-X, aimed at enhancing undersea capabilities. These are high-profile programs vital to the future of the US Navy amid strategic competition.
Responsibilities
1. Develop expertise through training, research, and interviews with subject matter experts.
2. Maintain status updates, drive progress, and report on tasks.
3. Communicate clearly across various formats including emails, reports, policies, data analytics, and briefings.
4. Organize and support virtual and in-person meetings for trilateral coordination.
5. Exercise project leadership by designing, planning, and organizing deliverables, motivating and leading teams across boundaries.
6. Build new relationships as necessary.
This position is based at HMNB Portsmouth, UK.
Qualifications
* Ability to work onsite at HMNB Portsmouth, UK, full-time as needed.
* Bachelor’s Degree with 10+ years’ experience in submarine operations and training.
* Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills for engaging with senior leaders.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
* Ability to communicate complex topics in writing (writing sample required).
* Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
* Eligibility for UK Citizenship and NV1 Clearance.
* Access to Controlled Materials under ITAR/EAR regulations, with potential need for authorization.
Desired Qualifications
* Experience with Type Commander or Navy staff highly preferred.
* Experience working with international partners.
