Talent-UK are currently recruiting for an experienced Industrial Sewing Machinist on behalf of their client, a successful manufacturer in the Bradford area, the role is offered on a temporary to permanent basis, working days with an early finish on Friday, the role offers great benefits with ongoing training and development. This is a varied hands-on manufacturing role and not solely a stationary sewing position. Cutting experience is desirable, although full training will be provided on the use of an Eastman cutting knife. Key Responsibilities for the Industrial Sewing Machinist: Operate industrial sewing machines including lock stitch and twin needle machines. Sew fabric and other materials to production specifications and quality standards. Read and follow patterns, measurements, and technical instructions. Use industrial cutting equipment, including an Eastman knife (training provided). Inspect finished products to ensure accuracy and quality. Carry out basic machine adjustments and report maintenance issues. Industrial Sewing Machinist Skills required: Minimum of two years’ experience operating industrial sewing machines. Experience using both lock stitch and twin needle machines essential. Cutting experience desirable but not essential. Experience within a manufacturing or production environment. Willingness to learn and undertake training on Eastman cutting equipment. Ability to use initiative working independently and as part of a team.
