The Recruitment Crowd are currently recruiting on behalf of our well-known and industry-leading client based in the Basildon area. We are looking for multiple HGV Drivers to join the team.
Roles:
* HGV Class 1
* HGV Class 2
Shifts: Monday to FridayHours: Typically 9am startsPay Rate:£15.36 per hour PAYELocation:Basildon, SS14Job Type:Ongoing
The role:
* Securely moving and transporting premium and high value goods (parcels) to sub-depots or collecting them from delivery units.
* Class 2 - 1-2 drops and 5-6 collections
* Class 1 - 6-8 pallet deliveries and then bulk collections
* Focusing on safe driving and maintaining accurate paperwork throughout shift.
* Drivers may be required to assist with loading and unloading of the vehicle using a tail lift and pump truck.
* Interacting with customers and representing the company in a professional and courteous manner.
Requirements:
* Full UK driving licence with relevant entitlement.
* Valid and in date DCPC and Digital Tachograph card.
* 6 months minimum experience required
* No more than 6 points on a licence (minor offences only).
* Full understanding of WTD legislation.
* Be prepared to undertake a short driving assessment for the position.
* Excellent communication skills.
* A safety-first mindset.
