Job Responsibilities
As a care worker, you will visit the homes of elderly, disabled, and vulnerable adults to provide services that enable them to live independently. No two days are the same, but you will get to know your clients, their likes and dislikes, and help them stay safely in their own homes. Your support may include:
* Assisting with personal care and dressing
* Cooking and serving nutritious meals
* Helping prepare and administer medication
* Providing social support and companionship
* Chatting with clients and keeping them company
* Light housework such as washing
* Promoting health and well-being, helping clients live their lives to the full
Requirements of a Community Care Assistant
* A friendly and caring attitude is essential. Experience is not required; a compassionate nature is more important.
* You will need to drive and have access to a car since the role involves community visits.
