Earn £12.60 per hour (£24,638 per annum) [pro rata]

This is a great opportunity for a Housing Management worker to join our team here in Cumbria. As our Housing and Property expert, you’ll support our customers, ensuring their homes are safe and well maintained. Providing a housing management service, you’ll support them to manage and maintain their tenancy and rent accounts. Typical day as a Housing Management Worker
7. Older people service over 55’s
8. Making sure that our customers properties are homes they can be proud of, you’ll support your customers by engaging and involving them in their tenancies and community.
9. Help our customers with housing benefit claims, making sure that these are received on their rent account.
10. To keep our properties fully occupied and the rent accounts up to date.
11. You’ll carry out and record the routine safety and compliance checks in our buildings and communities making sure we’re compliant.
12. You’ll also manage the admin updating records, ordering, and arranging payment for works to be done

You bring
13. Will be a people person, with a background in property management, but that’s not a deal breaker! Perhaps you’ve worked in an environment with compliance and health and safety checks?
14. A “can do” positive attitude, you’re proactive and well organised, and able to work on your initiative.
15. A passion for delivering excellent customer service and a genuine desire to help your customers.
16. The ability to work on your own initiative, positively influencing people from all different backgrounds.
17. Confidence working collaboratively with colleagues in other parts of the business as well as with external partners
18. Passion for property and get a thrill out of knowing that your properties are the best they can be for our customers!

You’ll join Manager Tina and our Older People’s Independent Living team, we’re super passionate about what we do! We’re really proud that people don’t live where we work.We work where our customers live and the positive impact we bring every day. We’re a supportive bunch and like to meet up regularly for team meetings and will even have a spot of lunch occasionally.
Job details
19. We can be flexible around what hours you work, (or we’re open to agreeing a work pattern with you)
20. 3.75 hours per week, Monday to Friday
21. Based at our service in Egremont you’ll spend your time with customers or in the office which is accessible for our customers.
22. Able to use technology for creating and updating Health and Safety records, making benefit claims and doing tenancy signs ups,
23. Occasionally you will need to cover other schemes or attend team meetings, you’ll need a vehicle insured for business purposes. The great news is that we’ll pay your mileage!
24. You’ll need an Enhanced DBS check done and we pay for that.
