Apple Wireless System Engineering team is looking for an engineer to work on radiated system characterization across different connectivity technologies (WLAN, BT, UWB, GPS) for Apple’s wireless products! Key Qualifications Fundamentals of antenna design and tests, anechoic chambers, and RF test equipment with hands-on a plus. Solid Understanding in RF component characteristics and behavior. Understanding of PHY Layer and MAC/application layer is highly desired, proficiency at MATLAB simulations a plus Strong communications and organizational skills and the ability to multitask across various disciplines and tasks Strong problem solving and analytical skills Programming/scripting skills would be a plus Description - Validating OTA test cases for different carrier/industry conformance requirements in certification test setups. - Translating industry conformance/regulatory/carrier specification requirements into test cases. Coordinating with regulatory compliance/ carrier management teams to ensure product validation covers all certification/performance tests. - Define and implement validation plan for custom SW features - Debugging marginal/failure tests with multi-functional teams like RFHW /Antenna/Product Design/EE/etc. and drive design changes to address issues - Maintain test setups via periodic checks, calibration, etc. - Drive planning and execution of final certification testing at 3rd party test labs for PTCRB/CTIA/CWG testing.
