Band 6/7 developmental role (or band 7 depending on experience) Clinical Nurse Specialist (Urological Cancers)
This is a part-time post for 30 hours per week. A fantastic opportunity has arisen within the Urological cancer nurse specialist team for a dynamic clinical nurse specialist. We are a friendly team with a genuine commitment to staff personal and professional development. Working in a small and friendly team within a larger CNS service, you will work alongside a multidisciplinary team of other dedicated and highly skilled healthcare professionals to care for patients and their families, delivering our high service standards, sharing best practice and actively improving the way we work. You will provide autonomous nurse-led services alongside the rest of the team.
Key Responsibilities
* A Band 6 developmental role will be considered with the applicant working towards Band 7 in line with the ACCEND pathway.
* Examples of duties include:
o Offering support and signposting for patients at diagnosis and onwards.
o Providing symptom advice and support for a group of patients with complex and often fast changing needs.
o Holistic Needs Assessment.
o Multidisciplinary team working.
o Telephone assessment and follow-up.
