You should be working in primary carewith a background of a Paramedic, Advanced NursePractitioner or Nurse Practitioner.

Main duties of the job
The post-holder will deal with a widerange of health needs in a primary care setting, ensuring the highest standardsof care for registered and temporary patients.
In accordance with the practicetimetable, as agreed, the post-holder will make themselves available toundertake duties of face to face and telephone consultations.
Making professional, autonomousdecisions in relation to presenting problems, whether self-referred or referredfrom other health care workers within practice.
Assessing the health care needs ofpatients with undifferentiated and undiagnosed problems and screening patientsfor disease risk factors and early signs of illness. Developing care plans forhealth in consultation with patients and in line with current practice diseasemanagement protocols.
To be able to prescribe and issueprescriptions or be prepared to do training courses if required.

Thepractice has a friendly team of GP's, nurses, paramedics, pharmacists, physicians assistant and GP assistants along with the admin and reception teams.
Job responsibilities
Working hours 08:00-18:00, Thursday and Friday. 19 hours per week.
Working in the Same Day Teamdiagnosing and treating patients with minor illness and other urgentpresentations face-to-face or via telephone.
Request and interpret tests e.g.blood tests, imaging and ECGs, to further aid the diagnosis of complex conditions
Refer patients to colleagues.
Use various consultation techniquese.g. in-person consultations, remote assessments utilising technology
Participate in Practice meetings.
Person Specification
Qualifications
* Registered qualifications in relevant field
* Demonstrable patient assessment skills
* General Practice knowledge
* Ability to work as a team, autonomously and promoting positivity
* Ability to manage high pressure situations
* History taking and physical assessments
* Decision making and diagnostics qualification
Experience
* Experience of clinical work in general practice and/or an urgent care service
